Evan Rubinson: Leader and Visionary

Evan Rubinson has built a name for himself in the music industry as an experienced leader and visionary. As the Chief Executive Officer of ERA Brands, he mastered the musical instrument and accessories landscape. Propelled by a lifetime love of music — starting from as far back as he can remember — he took it upon himself at the young age of 25 to become the President and CEO of a variety of music brands.

As the manager and decision-maker for famous names like ddrum Percussion, Dean Guitars, and Luna Guitars, he would learn the industry from the top down. After taking these labels to new heights with his disruptive style, he would become co-owner of the brands. In such a high-powered role, Rubinson had the opportunity to build both his expertise in the industry as well as his relationships. He eventually decided to take a break from the daily operations of the brands to start his own conglomerate.

Dubbed ERA Music Brands (for Evan Rubinson Audio), Evan brought a number of products under his portfolio. He serves as a brand builder of his own company, which means being involved in even the most minute activities in his operation. His daily to-do list is a mix of small tasks and long-term strategic planning alike. He stays on top of the latest trends and he uses his own instinct and intuition to determine which ones are integral to keeping his products relevant to customers.

As much as Evan Rubinson loves his role in the music industry, his professional ventures are more than just guitars and cymbals. In fact, he saw his fortunes rise on Wall Street during his early career before being pulled back to where he began. He holds a B.A. from Duke University, and he went out to conquer the finance and investment worlds. He is the founder of the hedge fund Koroit Capital (specializing in healthcare), and he owns and manages commercial real estate interests across the Southeast US.

Evan Rubinson is a member of the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) as well as a board member of the Duke University Alumni Admissions Committee (AAAC). He also sits on the advisory board of the USF Muma College of Business’s Digital Marketing Program. These organizations are more than just professional networks to him, they’re a way to stay connected to people that have supported him over the years. It’s also a way to give back to up-and-comers who could use the advice.

As a successful professional and entrepreneur, Evan Rubinson is devoted to giving back to his community however he can. He is involved in a variety of philanthropic organizations, including SGT Shredder: Rocking to Heal Vets, the Mike Calta Family Foundation, Tampa Bay Humane Society, Southeastern Guide Dogs, and Wounded Warriors. He is a proud donor to both Duke University and Tampa Jesuit High School.
